Eagle Polygon Pours for Power Planes
There are plenty of posts on ground pours using Eagle. Power Planes are essentially the same, but instead carry a voltage potential instead of GND.
In Eagle, use the polygon tool to create the power plane like a regular ground pour.
However when adding a power plane pour, the rank of the GND pour and the power plane are the same (1 = highest priority!). Normally DRC will throw a clearance issue without any helpful comments, but Eagle has finally updated the DRC to include a useful tip (change the rank).
In this case, set the rank of the GND pour to 2 (higher ranks will overlap lower ranks.
Case closed!
Don't forget to remove thermals if needed and set the name of the signals to be the same!
